In 2024-2025 Green Synergy was commissioned by Voluntary Centre Services funded by the City of Lincoln Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund funding.
As part of the Moorland Community Centre development project, Green Synergy supported a programme of green space improvements to the Community Centre site to create a welcoming community space, including:
- Community engagement activity (involving local residents and stakeholders) to identify aspirations, ideas and solutions.
- Small scale improvements to soften the aesthetics of the building and create a welcoming community space.
- Green space improvements within the site. (the site is managed by Continental Landscapes)
- Creation of local volunteering opportunities and facilitation of volunteering projects from the Community Centre and the wider Moorland community (including community growing opportunities).
- Development of long-term plan to maintain and develop the green space, in partnership with CoLC and Continental Landscapes.
The project has been a joy to work on creating new planter, upgrading existing planters, creating two new half moon flower beds and a long bed as well as planting up wheelchair accessible planters kindly built and donated by Gelder Group
