Jon’s Story

I’ve been volunteering with Green Synergy since August 2020 and also I lived in Lincoln for 3 years. The start of my journey of volunteering, I was on BBO Move Project to learn new skills, team work, Brushcutters and Strimmers course, and follow the health and safety rules. Last year I did a 3-month work experience with Pennells Garden Centre to learn new skills, working with colleagues, helping customers with their heavy shopping to their vehicles, and looking after plants. I’m now a general gardening volunteer at Green Synergy, I work twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. I have my own garden at home to grow my own fruit, vegetables, and flowers.
