The purpose of developmentplus is to build a future where every person thrives, and no one just survives. We support people experiencing disadvantage in Lincolnshire to:
- Build their trust and confidence – by providing a safe space where we listen and value what they have to say.
- Develop their capacity and skills – by building on their strengths and aspirations and providing training to improve their economic prospects.
- Improve their health and wellbeing – by providing a range of services to support mental health.
- Engage and benefit from additional support – by encouraging service participants to speak out, and advocating for them as they seek specialist support about issues affecting their lives.
All our person-centred support uses an empowering strength-based approach designed to inspire and give hope to those that are finding life a struggle.

Developmentplus deliver a wide range of services predominantly within a 30-mile radius of the City of Lincoln. Each service is a distinct project often focused on those experiencing a particular disadvantage. Where appropriate service participants may benefit from more than one service or move from one service to another. Services include:
- Better Together aims to improve the wellbeing of people experiencing poor mental health through mentoring, coaching, therapeutic activities, volunteering, and training. Delivered in collaboration with Abbey Access Training and Green Synergy.
- Bridging the Gap aims to reduce re-offending and re-incarceration rates. Working mainly with HMP Lincoln and Probation Services holistic support is provided at a pace that is right for the participants in the service.
- Project Compass provides practical support to rough sleepers (meals, showers, clothes etc) and opportunities to access, and support to engage with, specialised support.
- A Step in the Right Direction supports those who are disadvantaged to move towards employment, training or education through coaching and mentoring.
