Tower Power – BBC Children in Need

Tower Power is a children and young people’s programme kindly supported by BBC Children in Need and 2021 saw us secure 3 further years of funding.

The project is based from the Tower Estate, Lincoln and uses outdoor and gardening activities to enable children to have more fun, develop pride in themselves and their neighbourhood and engage positively in groups. This helps with improving their connectedness to the community and nature around them while supporting their development, mental and physical health and giving them a wider experience of the world.

Learn more about our BBC Children in Need funded Tower Power Children’s Project from Brodi, our Project Officer and hear about the difference it makes.

Each week has a set of different activities that range from arts and crafts, gardening, foraging and games.

2024

Green Synergy currently have two groups running Tower Power, Family Zone and Youth Group. All our groups are free to attend, we provide snacks and water during sessions.

Family Zone is a group focusing on children between the ages of 4-7 but we are encouraging whole families to come along and join in, parents/guardians are required to attend. You are welcome to turn up on the day, all that is required is that you fill in a form to participate. Family Zone runs every Wednesday on Hillside Garden from 4pm till 5:30pm, during school holidays session will run earlier in the day from 1:30pm till 3pm.
