New to Nature

Green Synergy is delighted to be able to be partner with Groundwork UK to offer a Garden and Horticulture Assistant role as part of the New to Nature Programme.

About New to Nature

New to Nature is an exciting programme of paid work placements in nature-focused roles. Our Garden and Horticulture Assistant role is one of 70 roles that has been created across the UK to encourage new and diverse talent into the Natural Environment sector.

We are supporting young people (aged 18-25) who are from ethnically diverse backgrounds, who are living with a disability or are from low-income households.

Our placement is having the opportunity to work alongside our Garden Manager in the gardens, learn about potential careers in the natural environment and connect with the other young people working in New to Nature roles across the country.

Our Green Synergy Trainee

Green Synergy have recently partnered with Groundwork UK as part of their ‘New to Nature’ programme (which provides 70 paid work placements within nature-focussed roles across the UK) to  create a Garden and Horticulture Assistant role. The national programme enabled the bringing in of new and diverse talent into the environmental sector. The placement here at Green Synergy allowed Rebecca the opportunity to work alongside our Garden Manager in the gardens, learn about potential careers in the natural environment and connect with the other young people working in New to Nature roles across the country.
