We are an award-winning gardening and therapeutic horticulture Lincoln-based charity looking for an organised and detail-oriented Finance and Office Assistant to join our team. The main purpose of the role is to support the finance and office-related activities and providing administrative support to various areas of the charity.
You will be the central to our office and finance operations, balancing day-to-day office activity with vital financial administration to ensure our charity runs smoothly and efficiently.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting the CEO with day-to-day finance work, including invoicing customers and following up regarding payments, logging and processing supplier invoices, process financial transactions including petty cash reconciliation.
- To maintain payments log, process payments for approval and undertake the weekly and monthly Bank Reconciliations ensuring that all bank accounts and payments are reconciled correctly in the payments log.
- Maintaining the Finance email in-box and respond to emails.
- Assisting with the month end and year end processes as required.
- Provide general office administration support including ordering office supplies, assigning and tracking staff IT equipment, equipment inventory and resources,
- Supporting the charity projects team and the Community Engagement Co-ordinator with logistics for community events and activities where required.
- Provide specific administrative support to the CEO and Projects and Delivery Manager as required.
- Undertake office tasks and act as the first point of contact with incoming telephone calls, order stationery, maintain office files, and provide clerical support (filing, scanning).
This role is offered on a part-time basis (0.4FTE). Fixed Term to 30th September 2028 with possible extension of contract if funding secured based from our Charity Community Hub in Lincoln. Salary: £24,200 – pro-rata to £9,680 per annum.
This role is funded through our Branching Out project funded by the players of the National Lottery.
