Family Nature Zone is a children’s programme kindly supported by BBC Children in Need and 2024 saw us secure a further three years of funding for 2024 to 2027.
The project is based on the Tower Estate, Lincoln and uses Nature, gardening and craft activities to enable children to have more fun, enjoy nature and develop positive relationships with peers. This helps with improving their connectedness to the community and nature around them while supporting their development, mental and physical health and giving them a wider experience of the world.

Family Nature Zone focuses on children between the ages of 1-7 but we are encouraging whole families to come along and join in, parents/guardians are required to attend. You are welcome to turn up on the day, all that is required is that you fill in a form to participate. Sessions run every Wednesday on Hillside Garden from 4pm till 5:30pm, during school holidays session will run earlier in the day from 1:30pm till 3pm. During winter we run sessions inside of Green Synergy Community Hub, 49 Roman Pavement, Lincoln, LN2 5RD from 4pm till 5:30pm, this winter this will be from 6th of November till 12th of February (May change depending on weather).
We run a range of activities that change every week, some weeks have themes but we try to include nature connectiveness (gardening, bug hunts), crafts and games every week. Keep an eye for special events that happen during school holidays.

*Please note that any session can be subject to change due to the weather or other circumstances, we try our best to remine outdoors but we may have to relocate the session to inside our office or cancel altogether. The team will text people who are signed up to receiving them.
