Green Synergy was commissioned to design and build a commuity garden for the service users of The Forge Day Cente in Scunthorpe as they had secured funding from the NHS Charities to develop community garden for its centre beneficiaries to enjoy and relax in a natural green space.
The aims for the creation of the garden was
- For the Forge Day Centre to have a natural green space through a garden that enables centre beneficiaries and staff to enjoy a peaceful haven of plants and enable gardening activities to take place.
- For the Forge Day Centre beneficiaries to gain new skills and self confidence by taking part in Green Synergy gardening activities and to learn the life cycle of the garden.
The space chosen for the garden was a tarmac area at the bck of the day cetnre and through consultations, planning and planting, a stunning community spaces was created.
The garden was designed and built by our Garden’s Manager Ana with support from a brilliant gorups of volunteers and service users.
